Sawbridgeworth May Fayre is here! The what, when, where, and all other answers to frequently asked questions have been answered below.

  • Where and when does Sawbridgeworth May Fayre take place?
    Sawbridgeworth May Fayre takes place across the town, with the main entertainment and activities taking place on Fair Green, the long stay car parks, the Memorial Hall and the Church yard. Check out the map for some of our key event areas. The event takes place from 12pm - 4pm on Sunday 05 May.
  • Do I need tickets?
    No entrance is free to all and no tickets are required.
  • Can I bring in food and/or drinks?
    Yes. Though we will have lots of food and drink stalls serving all of your favourite fair foods including some new soon-to-be favorites. Please note that alcohol is not permitted on Fair Green, fair grounds or in parking lots. Please help us to keep the local area clean, and take any rubbish back home with you or use the bins that have been provided.
  • Is the fayre suitable for me if I have accessibility requirements?
    Yes! we have comprehensive access facilities in place in order to welcome everyone. This includes dedicated accessible parking and wide access facilities located throughout the site. If you have a specific access need you’d like to discuss or have any questions about our existing facilities, please do get in touch.
  • I want to get involved! How can I perform/volunteer/trade/work at the event?

  • Is there parking on site?
    Parking will be limited in the town during the event. Part of Bell Street car park will remain open for car parking, parking will be limited on Bell Street and Knight Street. Please use surrounding side roads or consider taking alternative transport.
